"histopathology" the word has been derived from a combination of three Greek words  Histos that means Tissue, Pathos which means Disease or suffering and here logos which refers to the study in this context or in this . Hence , histopathology is the study of very fine microscopic changes or abnormalities found in the tissue that are caused as a result of diseases.

They also  work across wide range of patients and medical conditions as well as with many other medical professionals those  who have expertise in associated disciplines, as well as with an ever-increasing range and complexity of technologies including some medical imaging equipment such as electron microscopes. Sub-specialties associated with histopathology include cytopathology, forensic pathology, neuropathology and paediatric pathology.
