Know About Chikungunia and Its Remedies

I have found an important information from the Best Pathology in Lucknow and am sharing an important blog about Chikungunia:

As the season gets changes, virus, bacteria and other diseases starts spreading every where. One of the common name that everyone must have heard is an Aedes mosquito, it carries the virus of dengue fever also aids in the proliferation of chikungunya virus as well. It is the main reason why most signs and symptoms of the chikungunya and dengue are similar to each other. But, at the same time, the former viral condition is not life-threatening in nature, unlike most related conditions.

Know About the Signs and Symptoms of Chikungunya Fever

The signs and symptoms of chikungunya fever includes surface nearly three to seven days post a person is bitten by the Aedes mosquito. In some rare cases, these symptoms may also develop approximately 12-14 days later as well. The ailment typically lasts for about two to three days, however, its aftermath is something that's more chronic and damaging in nature.

Swelling that appears in the muscles, vomiting, and nausea Headaches,Rashes that develop on the face, Fever that may go up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, Severe pain in the joints that lasts for longer than usual,Fatigue, Pain in the muscles, limbs and the trunk and some other symptoms related to the same as shared.

How to Deal with Chikungunya Fever

The first thing that people infected by the virus of chikungunya faces is fever. In most cases, the body's temperature can rise upto 104 degree Fahrenheit. Extreme pain the joints is yet another thing experienced by the patients. It's really hard to recover from the pain and it lasts for a prolonged period of time.

Some other effective ways to deal with the symptoms of Chikungunya are as follows:-

  • Make sure the body to rest as much as possible, it is very important because when the body is at rest, the internal system can focus on fighting the infection instead of carrying out other functions.
  • There must be increase the intake juicy fruits and vegetables overall liquid intake must be increased. Basically the nutritious content present in these food items offers the body essential components, which aid in dealing with the infected virus.
  • If the pain in the joints and the muscles persists for a prolonged period of time, it's best to get a vaccination under proper medical supervision. Furthermore, get painkillers prescribed by a physician and take them at regular intervals.
  • Patient must increase the carrot and grapes as increasing the intake of carrots and grapes helps in fighting the symptoms of chikungunya fever.
  • Basil leaves are proven to reduce the intensity of fever. The components of these leaves keep the body's temperature in check, in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Taking up simple exercises, especially yoga can help in recovering from joint and muscle pain sooner than later.

So we can say that proper precautions, medication and physician guidance can help in overcoming the Chikungunia.

Do you know what is ECG ?

One of the leading Pathology in Lucknow shared a blog about ECG:

Do you know what is ECG ?

The electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is basically a diagnostic tool that is routinely used to measure and assess the electrical and muscular functions of the heart. It is a relatively simple test to perform, the interpretation of the ECG tracing requires significant amounts of training.

Now we must understand that the heart is a two stage electrical pump and the heart's electrical activity can be measured by electrodes placed on the skin. The electrocardiogram or ECG can measure the rate and rhythm of the heartbeat, as well as provide indirect evidence of blood flow to the heart muscle.

A standardized system has been developed for the electrode placement for a routine ECG. Ten electrodes are needed to produce 12 electrical views of the heart. An electrode lead, or patch, is placed on each arm and leg and six are placed across the chest wall. The signals received from each electrode are recorded. The printed view of these recordings is the electrocardiogram.

By comparison, a heart monitor requires only three electrode leads – one each on the right arm, left arm, and left chest. It only measures the rate and rhythm of the heartbeat. This kind of monitoring does not constitute a complete ECG.

Technology innovation for Pathology

Best Pathology in Lucknow shares a blog as :

As we all know that Prostate cancer is very difficult to diagnose at any stage, we also have seen that with way too many patients undergoing surgeries that turn out to be unnecessary. Now, researchers at some international Universities have developed an infrared chemical imaging technique that may improve diagnostic studies and in the process cut down on excess surgeries.

The new technique provides a look at a relatively large sample area while allowing for rapid imaging. The cells in the sample remain alive, helping to preserve their natural state and the biomarkers within, and the samples do not require any drying steps.

The same technology, because it images at a sub micron resolution with bio marker information, may also have a significant impact in diagnosing breast and other cancers.

It involves illuminating a tissue sample using an infrared excitation laser and a visible probe laser and measuring changes between the hot and cold states. Using photothermal detection allowed the scientists to lower the imaging resolution by an order of magnitude when compared with conventional infrared microscopy. Because the team used a special “lock-in” camera, it was possible to process a million pixels per second of imaging data, which covers a pretty good chunk of tissue.
With the advancement of science and new technologies it can be seen clearly seen that medical techniques are also improving at the best.
Use of robotics and Artificial Intelligence in medical world in diagnosing will change the future of Pathology also.

Know About Digital Pathology

Best Pathology in Lucknow shares an importnat blog about Digital Pathology , its importance and applications :

Until the advent of this technology, histological slides and photographs the primary ways images seen under a microscope lens could be shared with others but now Digital Pathology eliminates some of the issues associated with sharing slides such as the degradation of samples and inability to share samples. Not only this but also in addition to preserving quality, specimen images can be transferred to colleagues in a timely fashion. Digital pathology is changing the face of medical services for the people. It breaks the geographical barriers and brings experts together in the virtual world even though they are oceans apart and need strong expensive logistics to bridge that distance. For rural areas this can open a new window as they will get access to experts sitting anywhere in the world

In other words we can say that Digital Pathology extends the limits of microscopy, enabling students, educators, researchers, and clinicians to share tissue samples. Images sent or shared over the Internet or through specific analysis software open the path to a new and exciting microscopy tool ensuring optimal patient treatment. This is very useful for chronic and recurring diseases e.g. cancer.
It lends algorithmic objectivity to numerous tests that were otherwise subjective by nature and through image analysis software quantification is possible which can be monitored before and after treatment.
Best Pathology in Jankipuram says that Pathology services in the near future will provide digitally-enabled services as the norm to provide primary diagnosis of disease, facilitate personalized medicine where therapies are tailored to the individual, extract and analyse data to understand the links between tests and treatments, and to maximize outcomes. It will also empower people to manage their own health through access to electronic health records. It will also help the pathologist’s access prior data and data from a spectrum of different data sites quickly.

Digital Pathology's digitized slides can reduce turnaround times, improve communication between physicians, and are well-suited to computer-aided detection, similar to the technology widely used in mammography.

Digital pathology systems have been used for primary diagnosis in Europe for several years. Now it can bring major changes in Indian market too.
Digital pathology is a dynamic, image-based environment that enables the acquisition, management and interpretation of pathology information generated from a digitized glass slide. Healthcare applications include primary diagnosis, diagnostic consultation, , manual and semi-quantitative review of immunohistochemistry (IHC), clinical research, diagnostic decision support, peer review, and tumor boards.

What is Histopathology

Best Pathology in Jankipuram shares some views about Histopathology

Histopathology is the microscopic examination of biological tissues inorder to observe the appearance of tissues and the cells in the fine detail.
"histopathology" the word has been derived from a combination of three Greek words  Histos that means Tissue, Pathos which means Disease or suffering and here logos which refers to the study in this context or in this . Hence , histopathology is the study of very fine microscopic changes or abnormalities found in the tissue that are caused as a result of diseases.
What is the use of Histopathology

The main  use of histopathology involves the clinical medicine where it involves in the examination of a surgically removed sample or specimen taken from patient for the purpose of detailed studies , its known as Biopsy. It is taken by a specialist physician called a Pathologist. It also depends upon the specialists training and his area of working . The pathologist also may be more accurate than referred to as the pathologists. Histopathologists are basically the specialists in medical science those who have broad knowledge and having high understanding of the pathological and clinical aspects of disease. They also  work across wide range of patients and medical conditions as well as with many other medical professionals those  who have expertise in associated disciplines, as well as with an ever-increasing range and complexity of technologies including some medical imaging equipment such as electron microscopes. Sub-specialties associated with histopathology include cytopathology, forensic pathology, neuropathology and paediatric pathology.

Role of Pathology in Cancer treatment

Best Pathology in Lucknow shares some views:
Maximum decisions of doctors are rely on Pathological reports.
Pathology is a medical specialty that determines the main important cause and also the nature of diseases by examining and testing body tissues it includes from biopsies and pap smears also, body fluids it can be blood or urine test. The results of these tests from pathology help a doctor to diagnose and treating the patient correctly in the way it needs to be.
In most part of the world like as in Australia every person receives first test of pathology or pathological test just after they born. It is basically a blood test that screens in serious genetic conditions needed.
Pathology testing is very crucial for the diagnosis of cancer and also for providing guidance for the best treatment options. Cancer treatments need highly specialized and also it needs exact reports that are given by the pathology. Moreover we can say that maximum of result is based on the reports. Also this type of cancer treatment is limited to specific genes or panels of genes and is ordered when doctors already know some information about the information related to that particular cancer where it is in the body.

Pathology and an experienced doctor always play a vital role in curing the cancer or in eradicating it. Technological improvement and reformations of the medical science has made cancer treatment possible.
